Stainless Steel 430Ti Tubing is an austenite stabilized ferritic stainless steel with 16–18% chromium and minor additions of titanium for improvement in intergranular corrosion resistance. The titanium addition combines with carbon to avoid the precipitation of carbides with welding and exposure at high temperatures. The tubing has good mechanical properties with tensile strength of 450–600 MPa and yield strength of 200–250 MPa. It also offers very good oxidation resistance, good formability, and stable performance in mildly corrosive and heat-treating environments. Its ferritic microstructure guarantees low thermal expansion and good dimensional stability.
